If you're looking outside the box for a recipe to impress guests at your Memorial Day BBQ or any other occasion, this recipe for Chorizo Stuffed Pepper Cheese Steak is sure to impress.
You have to start off with a thin cut of beef. I used thin sliced shoulder steaks. Sprinkle the following spices on both sides of the meat, rub it in, and let it sit for 30 minutes or so.
– Salt
– Pepper
– Garlic powder
– Onion Powder
– Paprika
– Thyme
– Sage
Spread a thin layer of onion and chive cream cheese over the meat and top with diced sweet peppers. Then, lay piece of sliced chorizo over the peppers. Finally, roll the meat up and secure with a toothpick.
Set your grill up for direct grilling. Put the Chirizo Stuffed Pepper Cheese Steaks over high heat and grill for 2 minutes, flip and grill for another 2 minutes for medium rare. Grill longer if you like your beef chewy.
